MPL Philippines: A History
MPL PH, short for Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League Philippines, is a pro-esports league dedicated to the namesake, MLBB. The tournament has become one of Southeast Asia's most competitive Mobile Legends tournaments, along with MPL ID and MPL MY.
MPL Philippines was first introduced in 2018 as part of the growing esports ecosystem in the Philippines, providing a platform for Filipino players to showcase their skills. MPL Philippines has produced three MLBB world champions and consecutive titles with Blacklist International, making them one of the strongest ML regions.
MPL PH's competitive season is split into two: one in January/February and another in August/September. The last season was MPL PH Season 14, won by Fnatic ONIC PH. MPL PH also has a development feeder series, MDL PH, where young and new talent are nurtured to eventually join the bigger teams.
MPL PH Season 14: Format
MPL Philippines Season 15 kicks off with the Regular Season on February 28, 2025 and will end on May 4, 2025. The Regular Season will feature a double round-robin format, with all matches being best-of-three.
The teams gain points based on their individual games won, using the points scoring system below. The top six teams from the Regular Season advance to the Playoffs held in May.

There will be a brief break before the Playoffs begin. As with MPL Philippines Season 12, the Playoffs will have a hybrid-elimination format.
- 3rd - 6th seeds start in the Upper Bracket Quarterfinals (single-elimination).
- 1st - 2nd seeds receive a round bye and begin in the Upper Bracket Semifinals ( double-elimination).
All matches in the Playoffs are played as a Bo5 series, except the Lower Bracket Final and Grand Final, which is Bo7. The top six teams get a portion of the $150K prize pool, and the top two teams also qualify for MSC 2024 in July.

MPL PH Season 15: Teams
As always, eight franchised teams will compete in MPL Philippines Season 15, some of which have championship titles under their belts.
Here are all the participating teams competing in MPL PH Season 15. As of 2024, some significant established esports organizations have dipped their toes into the MLBB scene, so some of the team names may be different to what you're used to seeing.
